A new book highlights photographs of the real life Stockholm, based on the vision of that city suggested in Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy.
Tattoos Hornets Fire: The Millennium Sweden is an unusual photobook, utilizing photographs by Christopher Makos and Paul Solberg.
Surprisingly (or perhaps not) this dark view of Sweden is endorsed by business interests eager to benefit from the global tourism that Larsson’s books brought to Stockholm. Developed with support from VisitSweden, the country’s tourism promotion office, and SAS, the airline, Tattoos Hornets Fire isn’t a guidebook so much as a cultural and visual statement. The book is published by innovative art book publisher, Glitterati.
