Forbes magazine, prolific issuer of richest-people-in-the-world lists from every imaginary angle, has just released its ranking of the assets of fictional characters.
Our favorite character ranks #11 on that list with $2.4 billion by virtue of her being able to both get even and get wealth, thanks to her talents as a hacker as well as a blond. Compared to real-life billionaires she’s a relative piker, however. Salander would be #521 on that list, which, ironically, would give her the same ranking as John Doerr, one of the most famous venture capitalists in the world of technology and someone who also made his wealth in the realm of computers. Legally, of course.
And how much more would Lisbeth have to accumulate to rank first among the real-world’s billionaires according to Forbes? $66.6 billion. But she’d need “only” $58.6 billion to catch up with number two, another computer-savvy person who made it big: Bill Gates.
